RUNNING XP INSIDE VISTA !!!virtual machine-- an innovative work by SUN microsystems which provides an operating system in an operating system---The OS in which VM is installed is called host and the OS in VM is called guest--well the main idea is to run an OS inside an OS for instance running UBUNTU(flavour of linux) inside Windows 7 ..... very helpful for novices who want 2 learn linux and install them without actually disturbing the windows file system ...
My experience : Well i have lately attended a webinar of SUN microsystems online where the SUN executives would clear ur doubts on VMware ...i realised an important feature of VMware which clicked in my mind with awe ...i asked whether if the guest OS in the VM is affected by a virus would it bloat out of the scope ?? ...one of the executives replied NO it can also be used for security purpose in which ur host OS is free from risk ...ive been using virtual machine for couple of years now and it is a wonder Tool for newbies ...download the latest VMware from SUN microsystem's website .... thnk u !!!
